New York Candle

A crisp fall afternoon in the Adirondacks. No subway in sight.

This is New York before the city — the part that smells like apple orchards and woodsmoke, like pumpkin patches lined with hay, like nutmeg and cinnamon drifting from a farmhouse kitchen. Apple peel and clove open bright and spiced, cinnamon and pumpkin warm the middle, and fresh water and musk bring it home. The Empire State, bottled.
